A recent set of leaked images by Team-BHP user schakravarthy has revealed complete details of the upcoming Jeep Compass for India. The brochure leak explains everything about the distribution of features on the new SUV. First of all, Jeep Compass will be available in Vocal White, Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue, Exotica Red and Brilliant Black shades. This makes it even better than most other brands that lack such bright shades in the SUV segment. A buyer can choose between five different trims namely Sport, Longitude, Longitude (O), Limited and Limited (O).
The Sport variant is actually a heavily watered down version of the international spec Compass, carrying both the engine options but leaving all the luxuries for the upper variants. It uses U-Connect 5 inch touchscreen system, 16 inch steel wheels and halogen headlights for their respective purposes. The airbags on offer are just two while certain features like ABS, EBS, ESC and traction control are offered as standard. They have the kept the interior Black while one gets electric parking brake and power folding mirrors on the base Sport trim.
Longitude variant comes with just single 2.0 liter diesel engine option. It adds fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, push start button, rear parking sensors and dual tone interiors to the Jeep Compass. Longitude (O) comes with U-Connect 7 inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, dual done auto AC, projector headlights and black roof rails. Apart from these three, two top spec variants are also on offer. Jeep Compass Limited comes with LED taillights, both engine options, rear camera, leather seats, door scuff plates and leather steering wheel.
This top variant is further divided into 4x2 and 4x4 variant, providing the all-wheel drive car with Selec-Terrain system as well side and curtain airbags. The interior stays Grey on both the top spec variants. Compass Limited (O) comes with HID headlights and Black finished roof, keeping all other elements same as the Limited variant. All of the reports hint at an expected price range of INR 18-24 lakh for the Compass while high levels of cost cutting seems to bring it down by a huge margin. It can even start from as low as INR 15.90 lakh for the Sport variant. Jeep Compass will launch in India in August this year and it is being manufactured at Fiat's Plant in Maharashtra.
