We hope to see the Meridian get updated with an India-friendly ADAS package like we’ve seen in recent launches such as the Tata Safari, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Verna, and Mahindra XUV700. Currently the Meridian’s safety kit includes ABS with EBD, six airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and a 360-degree camera with parking sensors. Presently, only the Grand Cherokee from Jeep India’s lineup gets ADAS, which gets features like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. If introduced with these additional safety features, expect the prices of the Meridian to increase. Currently, it is priced between Rs 33.40 lakh and Rs 39.46 lakh.
