Porsche has rolled out the 2024 Cayenne GTS boasting enhancements in both aesthetics and performance. Along with a power boost and new style adjustments this update offers significant enhancements to its regular functions.
2024 Porsche Cayenne GTS: Exterior and Mechanical Upgrades
The 2024 Cayenne GTS now features Porsche’s Sport Design package as standard, enhancing its visual appeal with gloss black accents on the side skirts, window trims, front inlays, and wheel extensions. Complementing these details are HD LED matrix headlights and bronze-colored tailpipes, a shift from the previous black finish. The SUV rides on 21-inch wheels, now in a sleek grey paint.
Mechanically, the Cayenne GTS sits 10mm lower than its predecessor, incorporating advanced chassis technologies, including adaptive air suspension. This system, shared with the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid and Turbo GT models, integrates Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus).
Under the hood, the familiar 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine sees an increase in output, now delivering 500hp and 659Nm of torque, up from 460hp and 620Nm. This power is managed by an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, refined for quicker response and shifting, particularly in Sport and Sport Plus modes. This enhancement shaves a tenth of a second off its 0-100kph sprint, now clocking in at 4.4 seconds.
2024 Porsche Cayenne GTS: New Equipment
The interior gains the Porsche Driver Experience system, which includes a new curved digital driver’s display. Additional standard luxuries include a premium Bose sound system and ambient lighting. The Cayenne Coupe GTS versions also benefit from a panoramic sunroof and an adaptive rear spoiler. An optional passenger-side infotainment display and three lightweight packages further refine the experience, offering components like a carbon rear diffuser and a lighter roof, potentially reducing the SUV’s weight by up to 25kg.
2024 Porsche Cayenne GTS: India Launch and Pricing
Scheduled for a mid-2024 release in India, the Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Coupe GTS are expected to be priced at around Rs 2.5 crore. Current models of the standard Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe are priced at Rs 1.36 crore and Rs 1.42 crore, respectively. In response to the tepid demand for its hybrid models, Porsche will introduce the GTS as the exclusive V8 variant in India, positioning it as the high-performance option for enthusiasts, mirroring a strategy likely to be employed with the Panamera as well.
