Hyundai has recently introduced a new color option for its flagship electric vehicle, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, in the Indian car market. This new Titan Grey shade adds to the existing color choices for the Ioniq 5 making it the fourth color option available from the Korean automaker. Additionally, Hyundai now offers a new black interior theme providing customers with two interior options to choose from.
Color Palette and Interior Choices
With the addition of the Titan Grey shade, the Ioniq 5's color palette now comprises four distinct colors: Gravity Gold Matte, Optic White, Midnight Black Pearl, and Titan Grey (new). As for the interior, customers can select between two interior shades: Obsidian Black (new) and Dark Pebble Grey.
Features Remain Unchanged
Despite these updates in color choices, there have been no alterations to the features of the Ioniq 5. Some of its top features include a dual 12.3-inch display for the infotainment system and digital driver's display, a head-up display, a panoramic glass roof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, powered and ventilated front seats with memory function, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and a wireless phone charger.
Safety and Performance
In terms of safety, the Ioniq 5 is equipped with ABS with EBD, six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features. Under the hood, the Ioniq 5 features a 72.6kWh battery pack that powers the rear wheels through an electric motor generating 217PS of power and 350Nm of torque. The EV boasts an impressive ARAI-claimed driving range of 631 km.
Price and Competition
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is priced from Rs 46.05 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with other electric vehicles such as the BYD Seal, Kia EV6, and Volvo XC40 Recharge.
