Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift: A Fresh Look and More Power for 2024

Hyundai's Ioniq 5 has been a hit among car enthusiasts, because of its unique neo-retro design. For 2024, Hyundai has given the Ioniq 5 a slight facelift, making it even more appealing. Along with the facelift, there's also a new Ioniq 5 N Line version, adding a sporty touch to the lineup.

Subtle but Sporty Design Updates

The design changes in the 2024 Ioniq 5 are subtle but effective. The main updates are on the front and rear bumpers giving the car a sportier look. The car now has cameras instead of traditional ORVMs, and there's a larger rear spoiler for better aerodynamics. The front bumper has a new bull-bar-like element, and the iconic LED DRLs have an added central LED element. These changes along with new aerodynamic wheels, enhance the Ioniq 5's sporty and modern vibe.

Interior Enhancements for Comfort and Convenience

Inside, Hyundai has made some small but meaningful changes. There are now physical buttons for frequently used functions, and the wireless charging pad has been repositioned for easier access. The climate control panel has been updated, and although there's no mention of USB ports, we hope to see modern Type-C ports in the facelifted model. The new Ioniq 5 also boasts an improved connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) with over-the-air updates and enhanced safety features like Hands-On Detection (HOD) steering wheel and Lane Keeping Assist 2.

Introducing the N Line Version

The new Ioniq 5 N Line version is a welcome addition for those who love sporty looks. It features 20-inch aluminum wheels, sporty side skirts, and unique bumpers with N-Line badging. This version sits below the high-performance Ioniq 5 N, offering a sporty aesthetic without going all out on performance.

Upgraded Powertrain for Longer Range

Under the hood, the 2024 Ioniq 5 gets a significant upgrade with an 84 kWh battery, up from the current 77.4 kWh. This increase in battery capacity means a longer range making the Ioniq 5 even more practical for daily use and longer trips.

Coming Soon to India

Hyundai India might bring the updated Ioniq 5 to the Indian market via the CKD route by the end of this year or early next year. This will be an exciting addition to the growing electric vehicle market in India.

The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift brings subtle design changes, interior enhancements, and a significant powertrain upgrade. With the addition of the N Line version, Hyundai is catering to the demand for sporty-looking vehicles. The Ioniq 5 continues to be a strong contender in the electric vehicle market, combining style, performance, and eco-friendliness.
