Recently, a video of an SUV stuck at the beach went viral on social media. A Delhi-based tourist has been detained for endangering the lives of visitors and the general public on Goa's famed Anjuna beach while driving a Hyundai Creta SUV. The Goa administration has already banned vehicle driving on the beaches, and during the rainy season, authorities close down the beaches to evade any misfortune.

Hyundai Creta Driver Arrested After SUV Sinks At The Goa Beach

The Delihites didn’t care about the government restrictions and were driving the Creta on the sand, but then it got stranded in the deep water. The group was trying to stop the car from going deep into the seawater. The offender has been identified as Lalit Kumar Dayal, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi. He was driving a Hyundai Creta with a Goa registration. It appears that they rented the car from a local vendor.

Police have arrested the person, Lalit, who was driving the car at the moment, and the Hyundai Creta has been apprehended. The police have charged the accused with FIR under IPC sections 279 and 336. In addition, the police have filed a case with the RTO against the car owner, Sangeeta Gavadalkar of Mapusa. The car owner will also face further charges.
