Hero Passion Pro 110 Launch on December 18: A recent report in the automotive industry claims that Hero MotoCorp is preparing a new 110cc Passion Pro variant for their December 18 launch event. The new Passion Pro marks the entry of in-house developed, 110cc single cylinder engine producing 9.5 PS at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.
The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Hero MotoCorp uses their patented i3S technology on this new engine, helping them claim bigger number in terms of mileage. Passion series was once full of unique variants while presently, only Pro model exist under Hero MotoCorp lineup.
The same report even claims that the new bike may revive the XPro moniker. The current generation Passion Pro is powered by a 97.2 cc, single cylinder engine producing 8.36 PS at 8000 rpm and 8.05 Nm at 5000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and lacks the use of modern start stop system.

The new Passion may get a cost increase of almost INR 5000 from the present generation model. Buyers will get the same set of telescopic forks, rear twin shocks, 240mm front disc brake and rear drum brake as standard on the top spec model.
The present generation model costs INR 51,500 and comes with all the above listed features. Rivals in the segment includes TVS Victor, Star City Plus, Honda Livo and Bajaj V12. The last one carries a bigger 125cc engine while all other are powered by the same sized 110cc engine.
Hero MotoCorp is presently the highest selling brand with Splendor, HF Deluxe, Passion and Glamour being the biggest volume generators of all time. Their firm hold on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities brings them more than 6 lakh units of sale every month on an average in India.
