Ford Figo and Aspire recently got themselves a Sports Edition that starts from INR 6.32 lakh for the petrol powered Figo and INR 7.21 lakh for the diesel variant. The Aspire even comes with same engine configurations and gets a price tag of INR 6.51 lakh and INR 7.60 lakh respectively. Sadly, the Sports Edition is not available on the bigger 1.5 liter petrol engine. All the prices mentioned here are ex-showroom Delhi. Ford has kept both the cars same when considered mechanically.
Ford's 1.2 liter petrol motor is good for 87 HP and 113 Nm of torque while the 1.5 liter diesel motor is good for 100 HP and 215 Nm of torque. The engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the Sports Edition gets tuned suspension for better ride handling than the standard version. The design language of both the cars remain exactly the same as standard variant while addition of Black components over the standard painted parts make it feel and appeal better to the target audience.
The front end of both cars use a Black grill along with redesigned bumper and Black fog light housing on the Sports Edition. The side profile goes in the same way while both the cars are offered with bigger 15 inch alloy wheels. The roof on the hatchback is Black while the compact sedan carries the standard painted roof on the Sports Edition. The rear gets a spoiler for the Figo while Aspire gets the same components. Both the cars have smoked headlights for added sporty appeal.
