Bookings for Ford Mustang Now Open Pan-India

Ford India finally started the nationwide bookings for its Mustang GT in India. In the first phase, the bookings were limited to just Delhi and Mumbai. It was first launched in July 2016 with a price tag of INR 65 lakh. Just in its first month, it became the best selling sports car of India and soon all of the 100 allotted units were sold in the country. Ford Mustang GT is the top spec car from the lineup, carrying loads of equipment as standard.

The 5.0 liter, V8 petrol motor is good for 401 PS at 6500 rpm and 515 Nm at 4250 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and claims an electronically controlled top speed of 250 kmph. The car measures 4784 mm in length, 2080 mm in width and 1391 mm in height. It commands a special status on the road with its 2 door design and attractive exhaust note. The car rides on 19 inch painted aluminum wheels. Ford Mustang has been a dream car of many in India and its introduction in the RHD countries made it even more desirable than ever. However, Ford could have offered the other two models with a 3.6 liter V6 and 2.3 liter Ecoboost in the country that are more emission friendly and cost effective.
