2017 Ford EcoSport Launched in China

Ford EcoSport is undoubtedly one of the best product that one could buy under INR 10 lakh. The feature loaded trims by Ford India brings class leading safety to the compact SUV. The top spec trim even comes with 6-airbags for added protection. The 2017 New EcoSport was recently unveiled at Shanghai and looked exactly the same as North American spec model, apart from the fact that is supported the tailgate mounted spare wheel section. The cover has been redesigned while the front of the car now looks more in sync with Ford's design language.

The front fascia now brings redesigned front headlights with projector headlights, L-shaped daytime running lights, new fog lamp design and bigger skid plate. The car runs on 17 inch alloy wheels on the Chinese spec model. If those changes on the outside are not that exciting for some fans, the interior will surely impress with its all new premium layout. The car now gets 8 inch floating infotainment system, new console and all new dashboard layout with maturely designed vents and layers. China spec car comes with dual tone interiors. The most exciting factor for Chinese spec EcoSport is the use of 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 174 HP of maximum power. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) while provision of Ford's Intelligent 4x4 (All-Wheel Drive) makes it even more effective than ever. The cost restriction for the Indian spec model may not let them bring the feature to India. If launched, the same model could not be priced around INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom) in any circumstances.
