Volvo has launched the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console in the Indian market at a price tag of INR 1.42 crores (ex-showroom). The top-spec variant of the flagship SUV from the brand has officially debuted in India and features a three-seat layout that sets it apart from the standard seven-seater layout seen on the luxury SUV. The front passenger seat has been replaced with a powered ottoman unit on the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console. The multi-functional module features a rising leg-rest in addition to lockable storage compartment as well as a foldable 17-inch touchscreen that can be further used as a table when flipped upside down. The brand has called the Excellence lounge console variant of the XC90 as the limited edition artwork. Article image Coming to the interiors, the brand has equipped the rear seats with a massage function in addition to offering ventilated seats. The passengers can operate all the functionalities via the touchscreen system mounted between the seats. The central armrest further features integrated USB charging points and as well as a tray table between them. The SUV features a refrigerator with bottle and glass holders in addition to heated/cooled cup holders as well as crystal glasses from Orrefors. The XC90 Excellence Lounge Console also gets a premium 20-speaker, 1400-watt Bowers & Wilkins sound system while the seats have been covered with Nappa leather. The luxurious appearance of the SUV is further accentuated via the crystal gear shifter from Orrefors. The 320HP offered by the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and the 87HP offered by the electric motor contributes to a total power of 407HP and 640Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The bookings for the recently launched SUV have been commenced in India. The XC90 Excellence Lounge console competes in the market with the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series.
