Toyota Alphard may soon join the Indian lineup. Japanese car giant is evaluating the possibility of product placement for India. Apart from this, they have made one fact clear that Alphard will be on display at Auto Expo 2018.
According to Toyota, people import Alphard and HiAce in India in a good number and mostly, these are used by tour and travel agencies for luxury loving customer catering. It has a good market here but deciding the best possible route for its entry is even more important. Toyota may display the full blown, highly loaded variant at Auto Expo 2018.

As the same is available in different variants, it is not yet sure which version will Toyota consider for India. Keeping cost under check, Alphard could share an engine with other products available in the Indian lineup. It measures 4915 mm in length, 1850mm in width and 1895 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 3000mm.
Toyota offers Alphard in both seven and eight seater options. Internationally, the 3.5L V6 engine on Alphard is good for 275 PS and 340 Nm of torque. If it stays under the plan, Alphard will be brought through CBU route for India.
Toyota is also expected to launch the new Yaris sedan (Ativ) in India, rivalling none other than Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Ciaz in India. This segment of sedans are the highest selling above 4 meter vehicles of India and thus, Toyota will now enjoy a chunk of it in its own style.
Alphard is pretty huge when compared to any other MPV on sale in India. It has the largest possible wheelbase and thus, space for each passenger is more than enough inside the vehicle. Buyers get Silver Metallic, Luxury White Pearl and Raven Black shade for Alphard in the international market.
