Based on SW4 variant in Argentina, this typical Edition comes with new 18-inch alloy wheel design, front grille with dark chrome accent and faux front skid plate in brushed aluminum finish. Interior is loaded with tan leather seats and bronze finished dashboard section. Key fob of Fortuner Diamond Edition is finished in white/gold shade while 10 speaker JBL sound system comes standard on this version. Fortuner is available with a single petrol engine option in Argentina. Indian market gets the new Fortuner with 2.8L diesel as well as 2.7L petrol engine. This engine is available with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox in India. Indian buyers prefer going for 2755 cc, four cylinder diesel engine that offers 177 PS at 3400 rpm. They can choose between 6-speed manual as well as automatic option. Those going with MT get 420 Nm of torque between 1400-2600 rpm while AT buyers get 450 Nm of torque at 1600-2400 rpm. Only four wheel drive options of India are available with 18 inch wheels. Article image The petrol option available in India is only offered with 2WD. Buyers can choose MT variant for INR 26.20 lakh while automatic variant gets higher priced at 27.89 lakh. Diesel option is divided into four variants as range starts at INR 27.80 lakh for 4x2 manual variant and goes up to INR 31.99 lakh for 4x4 AT option. Not just that, buyers can choose manual variant with 4x4 or get an AT option on 4x2 drive-train. This flexibility of options has made Fortuner a high selling car for its segment.
