Tata Motors will soon launch its Altroz premium hatchback in India. 'Altroz' is the official name for the production-spec hatchback which is based on the 45X concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo in 2018. Article image Mechanically, the car will come with a 1.2-litre 85HP petrol and a 1.2-litre 102HP turbo-petrol engine from the Nexon compact SUV. Tata Altroz will also get a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine with a maximum power of 90HP. The engine will come mated with a 5-speed or a 6-speed manual gearbox, depending on the variant. It will directly compete with other premium hatchbacks available in India like the Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and the recently launched Toyota Glanza.
