Tata Altroz hatchback, the premium car from the brand was recently launched in India with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 5.29 lakh. The production variant of the Altroz was officially unveiled at an event in Jodhpur last year. The hatchback is available to the customers in 5 trims namely: XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ (O). All these trims are further available in five eye-catching colour options. Here is the variant-wise price list of the Tata Altroz hatchback.
Mechanically, the car is available with two engine options: 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. The 1199cc 3-cylinder Revotron BS6 petrol engine produces 86HP of maximum power at 6000 rpm along with 113Nm of peak torque at 3300 rpm. The 1497cc 4-cylinder diesel engine is good for 90HP @ 4000 rpm and 200Nm @ 1250-3000 rpm. Both engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Coming to the looks of the car, it gets styling based on Tata’s new Impact 2.0 design language which is quite noticeable. It gets a wide grille up front, a prominent beltline along with a rising window line. The rear of the car gets blacked-out elements on its tailgate which are just below the rear windscreen.
The interiors of the car are also feature-loaded in terms of comfort and convenience. The all-new Altroz gets a free-standing 7.0-inch infotainment system that also supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The flat-bottom steering wheel of the car is also a first-of-its-kind for a Tata product.
In terms of safety, the car is equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, rearview camera, and rear parking sensors. The top-spec variant of the car also gets fog lights with cornering function, auto headlights and wipers.
To make this hatchback more premium, Tata has equipped the car with ambient lighting, plus it also features doors that open 90-degrees to aid ingress and egress. The Altroz hatchback will surely mark its presence in the market and it competes with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and the Honda Jazz.
