Tata Altroz iTurbo Officially Revealed (Bookings Open): Tata Motor has officially unveiled the turbo petrol model of Altroz hatchback in India today, as promised by the brand a few days ago. The pre-bookings for the car are now open at the authorized Tata dealerships for a token amount of INR 11,000, while the prices will be announced at a virtual launch event on January 22, 2021. The deliveries of the hatchback are expected to commence from the first week of next month.

Tata Altroz iTurbo Officially Revealed[/caption]
Known as Tata Altroz iTurbo, the car is powered by a turbocharged 1.2L petrol engine, which churns out a maximum power of 110PS at 5,500 rpm, and maximum torque of 140Nm at 1,500 to 5,500 rpm. For now, the car is available with only a 5-speed manual gearbox and the brand would be offering the DCT automatic transmission at a later stage in future. The Altroz iTurbo features two drive modes: City and Sport. Tata claims that the turbocharged model can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in less than 12 seconds and is capable to return a mileage figure of 18.13 kmpl.

Apart from the XT and XZ variants, the Altroz iTurbo will also be available in the new XZ+ variant, while the car will also get a new colour as seen on the test vehicles regularly, and is listed as Harbour Blue. In total, there will be five colour options: Harbour Blue, Downtown Red, Avenue White, High Street Gold, and Midtown Grey.

Some of the key features of Tata Altroz iTurbo XZ+ include an eight-speaker Harman sound system (four speakers, four tweeters), an Xpress cool function, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leatherette seats, a Doodle feature for touchscreen wallpaper customisation, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting, and Tata’s IRA (Intelligent Real-time Assistant) connected car technology with geo-fencing, voice commands, and a lot of other interesting features.
