Renault Russia announced three new vehicles in their lineup, the Renault Logan Stepway cross-sedan, the updated Sandero Stepway, and Dokker Stepway. The introduction of the three Stepway vehicles put a rest to all the rumours about the company trying out an experiment with this body design. The Stepway models are being manufactured at the AVTOVAZ plant in Togliatti and will be debuted to the public at the 2018 Moscow International Automobile Salon. The event is all set for August 29, 2018.

Up at the front, the Renault Logan Stepway gets a black radiator grille with dominant chrome lining. The chrome is also present on the boundaries of the housings for the fog lamps. Additional features on the front include LED Daytime Running Lights and a muscular bumper to accent the aggressive style. There is a body cladding on all the sides of the body and the Stepway version of the Logan sits a good 40mm higher from the ground than the standard Logan. Other features which differentiate the Stepway versions from the standard ones are the presence of a new steering wheel with improved ergonomics and a new infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The top variant of the Logan Stepway will include additional features like remote start system, which has been designed specifically for the Russian climate. This system will warm up the cabin and the engine before a person actually starts their commute. Other features include a heated windshield, heated front seats, heated outer rear view mirrors, and parking sensors.
The Logan Stepway draws its power from a 1.6-litre petrol engine. There are three different tunes available for this engine and the different models will have different power and torque outputs. The base engine tune has a maximum power of 85 PS and a peak torque of 134 Nm. Above this tune sits a middle power tune which produces a maximum power of 102 PS and a peak torque of 145 Nm. The top model has a better-tuned engine, which produces a maximum power of 113 PS and a peak torque of 152 Nm. The last engine tune is mated to a CVT gearbox while the other two are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
