Renault Kiger Launched in India [Full Price List Revealed]: Renault has officially launched the much-anticipated Kiger sub-compact SUV in the Indian markets with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 5.45 lakhs for the base RxE manual variant while the price range goes all the way up to INR 9.55 lakhs for the top-spec RxZ CVT variant. The car has been launched with 6 colour options on offer: Ice Cool White, Planet Grey, Moonlight Grey, Mahogany Brown, Caspian Blue, and Radiant Red. The bookings are now officially open with a token amount of INR 11,000 while the deliveries are expected to commence soon. Renault Kiger competes in the market with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Nissan Magnite. Kiger sub-compact SUV is based on the CMF-A+ platform that has been co-developed by Renault and Nissan. The recently-launched Magnite is also based on the same platform. The car has been developed specifically for the Indian markets and it is being manufactured at the brand's Tamil Nadu facility. Some of the key highlights of the design include the signature Renault grille, split LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a roof-mounted spoiler, diamond-cut alloy wheels, C-shaped LED taillights, roof rails, and a rear skid plate. Coming to the interiors, Renault Kiger sports an all-black theme and the top-spec variant of the compact SUV will come equipped with loads of comfort and convenience features. The list of key features includes an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument console, climate control system, engine start-stop system, steering mounted controls, Arkamays 3D sound system, wireless charging, and rear AC vents with a 12-volt charging slot. Mechanically, the car is available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine with two states of tune. Like Nissan Magnite, the turbocharged version is good for 100 HP of maximum power and 160 Nm of peak torque, while the naturally-aspirated version develops 72 HP and 96 Nm. The engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the customers also get an option for an AMT as well as a CVT gearbox.
