2018 Renault KWID Launched in India @ INR 2.66 Lakh

2018 Renault Kwid has been launched in India for INR 2.66 lakh. The car received a minor change in terms of exterior finish, gaining front chrome grill and side strips with Kwid branding on the new model. The interior is now available with chrome door handles and charging socket in the parcel shelf holder. Buyers would love to know that top spec Renault Kwid now comes with a rear parking camera, integrated within the Renault logo and attached with the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The brand offers 4 years / 1 lakh kilometer warranty (whichever comes earlier) with the 2018 Kwid. The brand charges reasonably for the convenience filled gearbox. Kwid is still available with the same 0.8L, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 54PS and 72Nm of torque. The bigger 1.0L, three-cylinder motor is good for 68PS and 98Nm. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard on both cars. Kwid tasted fame before the entry of Tata Tiago in India. It was once the toughest rival for Maruti Suzuki Alto series as Renault offered more space, better options and some segment first features with the Kwid. Tata placed the Tiago around this price tag, luring buyers with even better legroom, shoulder room, and engine specifications. Renault Kwid 1.0L comes with smoked headlight and wing mirrors for a sporty feel while regular version still remains the most spacious car in its segment. Without any further confusion, Kwid is the most loaded car for its price tag in India.
