Nissan has a small lineup in the Indian market. There are many vehicles which are available in the global markets but have not yet been seen in India. The range for the Nissan cars starts from hatchbacks to the Godzilla GT-R. With limited options in a wide range, the company has not been doing well with the sales. However, there are hopes that with the introduction of new products like the Nissan Kicks, the sales will receive a boost. Article imageMedia reports suggest that the Nissan Kicks will arrive at the Indian shores in January 2019. The same reports convey that the model that will arrive in India will be different from the one that is available globally. Expected changes include an increased interior space and a longer list of features. The Nissan Kicks is built around the M0 platform, the same one that the Renault Captur and Duster are built on. There is a V-shaped grille up front and a dual tone bumper with housings for the fog lights. On the sides, you will notice flared wheel arches, and a floating roof finished in a contrasting shade. At the rear, the tail lights have been shaped in the form of a boomerang. You will also notice the raked windshield. Article imageThe inside of the global version features a dual-tone dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system, a 3-spoke multi-functioning steering wheel, and a twin-pod instrument cluster. The list is expected to be longer when the Kicks reaches Indian shores, to compete with the Hyundai Creta which dominates the segment, or the feature loaded cousin from Renault, Captur. The report also hinted that the Nissan Kicks will be available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. Most likely, they will be the same engines that are currently being offered on the Renault-Nissan cars like the Terrano, Duster, and Captur. Article imageArticle image
