Suzuki Solio was recently showcased at the 2019 Future Mobility Show in India. For those who are unaware of this name, this MPV styled wagon is presently retailed in the Japanese market. Maruti Suzuki is expected to bring the hybrid Solio in India in the coming months to take on the best possible spot in the segment. The WagonR is going good in India and now features a better configuration than the old version. Solio has an Omni style sliding rear door and much advanced floating roof design to compensate for that boxy feel. It will bring bigger tires and chrome loaded front fascia that Indians love more than anything else. Article image Skipping on the seven-seat product that was first shown at Auto Expo 2012, Maruti seems to raise the comfort quotient through extra interior space available in Solio. The roomy interior is further guaranteed by glass loaded side fascia that comes with the addition of two fixed glass areas, one before the first row seats (good for blind spot detection) and other after the passenger seat (good for airy interior feel). Article image Interior of Solio will comfortably seat four passengers with an abundance of legroom, headroom and shoulder room. For India, the rear seat will be altered to get a 3-seater design. It will share parts with existing products and thus, top spec fully loaded model will feature the SmartPlay system, LED lights and much more like other Maruti products. The engine powering the hybrid Solio is the same 1.2L unit from the Swift, producing 91 HP and 118 Nm on this configuration. The car will be one of its kind product at present as automakers are either into the electric world or comfortable staying in the petrol-powered section. Exterior Image Source
