Maruti Celerio Tour H2 has been launched in India for INR 4.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The cab specific variant is based on LX (O) trim of Celerio but adds mandatory speed limiter that government has made mandatory for taxis.
In any scenario, the speed limiter won’t let Celerio Tour H2 cross 80 kmph and thus, keep passengers safe from rising high speed accidents in the city. The pricing falls between LXi and LXi (O) variant, hinting at equipment cut from this taxi specific Celerio. The same speed limiter is also available on car specific Maruti Dzire Tour S.
Maruti Celerio Tour H2 is powered by the same 1.0L, three cylinder engine producing 68 BHP at 6000 rpm and 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox on Tour variant while standard VXi comes with an option of AMT gearbox. Celerio measures 3600 mm in length, 1600 mm in width and 1560 mm in height. Maruti Suzuki recently hiked the prices for its entire range for meeting the increased production cost.

Maruti offers 2425 mm of wheelbase for decent rear seat legroom. The car weighs almost 800 kg and carries five passengers. Celerio is slotted between Alto and Swift as the former is quite compact and latter gets a bigger engine and price tag.
Maruti is offering dual front airbags and ABS as standard on all optional models. Not just that, buyers also get seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiter for enhanced safety. Celerio was once launched with a twin cylinder diesel engine but that model simply failed with its noisy nature.
The range starts at INR 4.20 lakh and goes up to INR 5.38 lakh. Buyers can also consider the crossover inspired Celerio X that offers body cladding and dark themed body parts.
