2018 Maruti Swift will have its official debut in India on January 18, 2017. They may put the new Swift on sale around the Auto Expo 2018 in February.
Production of New Swift has already started in India from December 1, 2017 as they are trying their best to deliver as many cars as possible at its launch. Creating enough stock would be a great option as present generation Swift is built in a different facility in Manesar, Haryana.

Baleno may later take up the space created by Swift at Manesar. Almost 550 Balenos are manufactured daily in Gujarat. Demand closer to that of the new Dzire is expected from the all new Swift and that makes early production a great step to avoid long waiting periods.
2018 Swift is a departure from present generation design, carrying almost the same fascia as present generation Dzire but getting a sporty bumper for typical hatchback feel. Maruti Suzuki now flaunts the hexagonal front grill that houses the number plate as well as chrome Suzuki moniker.
The black panels around the fog lights run all across the bumper, creating an illusion of a smiling face on the new Swift. The roof-line is typical Swift style while rear gets a different set of lights and boot design. Side profile now looks cool with Beat style rear handles and coupe inspired exterior profile.
Interior of the new Swift is generations ahead of the old variant. A flat bottom steering wheel, elegant manual air conditioner switches (middle variant), an intelligent music system and all new instrument console makes the interior feel much more premium than ever. It even comes with a new set of machine finished alloy wheels and LED projector headlights.
Indian spec Swift comes powered by a 1197cc, 4-cylinder petrol and 1248cc, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. Swift is one of the best selling Indian car from a long time and new variant is expected to make it more popular among buyers of all age groups. Suzuki is planning to cross 2 million production barrier by 2020 and this model plays an important role in their next annual sales target plan.
