Mahindra Thar Classic Edition by SRK Designs: Mahindra recently launched its second-generation Thar in India back in October 2020. The new model of Thar has become very popular among buyers across the country, with the waiting period currently extending up to 10 months for select variants. Even though it is a relatively new vehicle, we have already seen plenty of modified examples of the new-gen Thar, some of which are worth grabbing major attention. Here, we have a digitally-modified Mahindra Thar, named ‘Classic Edition’ by SRK Designs, which sports Willys Jeep-inspired styling. Talking about the design changes, the stock front bumper has been replaced by an off-road-spec metal bumper, further featuring a winch and two towing hooks. The front grille of the SUV has been replaced with Jeep’s signature 7-slot grille, which looks simply awesome. The digital artist has imparted an olive green paint scheme to the SUV, including on-the-wheel arch claddings. The doors and roof have also been removed, and SRK Designs has also equipped the That Classic Edition with rock sliders. In addition to the changes mentioned above, the SUV also sports a set of olive-coloured steel wheels, shod with knobby tires. Here is the video of Thar's transformation into the Classic Edtion:

SRK Designs has also replaced the roll cage of the stock model of Mahindra Thar with a bare-bones roll protection bar. The seats get olive-coloured upholstery, to match with the exterior paint scheme, and a few graphics and stickers have been added on the body to complete Willy's look. This is perhaps one of the most interesting concept vehicles based on the Thar that we’ve come across in recent times. Mechanically, the second-gen Mahindra Thar is available with two engine options. The first option is a 2.0-litre, inline-4, turbocharged petrol engine, which churns out 150 HP and 320 Nm. The second option is a 2.2-litre diesel engine, which develops 130 HP and 300 Nm. The customers get 2 transmission options: a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
