Range Rover Velar was recently launched in India from INR 78.83 lakh. The much awaited coupe styled SUV was already on booking and present pricing placed the Velar perfectly between the Evoque and Sport in the company lineup. The top spec variant for Velar costs INR 1.37 Crore in the country. As the roof design is lower than most Land Rover models, Velar feels wider and more planted on the road.

The launch of Velar marks the entry of an all-new Range Rover interior design, flaunting two screens with different set of functions for the interior comfort. The upper is in use for infotainment system while lower helps passengers adjust temperature and other in car values. Owners can also select between standard leather or infinitely cooler microfiber package on the new Velar.
Engines on the new Velar are sourced from other Range Rover cars around the segment. Entry level model will feature a 2.0L diesel model with 177 BHP on offer.
Petrol car lovers can enjoy the 2.0L, 247 BHP petrol motor for more rev fun. Purist will please their souls with the 3.0L, V6 diesel engine producing 296 BHP. Variants on offer includes S, SE, HSE, R-Design and First Edition.
If compared from the price point, Range Rover falls between the segment housing Audi Q7, BMW X5, Mercedes GLS and Volvo XC90. Even Jaguar F-Pace and Porsche Cayenne will fall in its rival list.
