Jeep Compass Trailhawk Diesel with 9-Speed AT Gearbox to Launch in India Soon[/caption]
Jeep Compass comes with active drive low range 4WD that helps passengers enjoy some serious level off-road driving. The Selec-terrain system featured here comes with new Rock Mode for additional grip on rocky surfaces.
Ground clearance provided here is 20mm higher than standard Jeep Compass and even design of front as well as rear bumper facilitates better off-roading experience. Better approach and departure angle means better overall drive quality with low chances of impact on the under-body. Still, Jeep has offered added protection for Trailhawk variant’s under-body section. It even comes with hill descent control as standard.
Compass Trailhawk is powered by 2.0L, four cylinder diesel engine producing 170 HP. The engine comes mated to an impressive 9-speed automatic gearbox. This also means that buyers of Trailhawk will get exclusive automatic diesel Compass in India as petrol was the only model before to carry an automatic gearbox.
Alloy wheels on Trailhawk are different while one gets additional visual upgrades for premium off-roader feel out of Jeep Compass Trailhawk. This slots the car against Hyundai Tucson’s top spec variant and even full sized SUVs like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Mixing all these features of Compass Trailhawk with plus sized sunroof results in a perfect companion.
