Jeep Compass Price to be Increased by up to INR 80,000 from January, 2018

Jeep Compass Price Hike Soon! Compass SUV would witness a price hike of up to INR 80,000 from January 2018. The brand will keep the pricing for base Jeep Compass at INR 15.16 lakh while all other models will get revised pricing with a hike of 2-4%. When launched initially, Compass was praised for its excellent pricing but soon after, GST slab revision for SUVs made it feel pricier than ever. This would be the second jolt to buyers within last few months. A successful model in itself, Jeep Compass has surpassed the 10,000 unit sale mark in just four months of its launch. Jeep Compass is presently available in three trims and two different engine options. Sport is the entry level variant with least number of features while Limited comes as a highly loaded model with the option of 4x4 for diesel and automatic gearbox for the petrol model. Compass measures 4395 mm in length, 1818 mm in width and 1640 mm in height. The wheelbase on offer is 2636 mm. Compass is powered by a 1.4L, Multi-air petrol engine producing 162 PS and 250 Nm on the base trim. It comes with two gearbox options. Diesel power comes from 1956cc, four cylinder turbocharged engine producing 173 PS at 3750 rpm and 350 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The present diesel range starts from INR 15.99 lakh for Sport model. It is expected to get more than INR 60,000 of price hike. Jeep compass comes with a fuel tank measuring 60 liters, helping owners claim more than 750 kilometers on single diesel refill. The top spec Compass is equipped with 6-airbags and electronic parking brake for worry free ownership experience.
