The 2019 Isuzu V-Cross with a diesel engine and an automatic gearbox has been launched in India at a price tag of INR 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The brand is offering the automatic variant of the SUV with an all-new 1.9-litre diesel engine while the V-Cross is also available with a 2.5-litre diesel engine, which is available with a manual gearbox only. The automatic version of the SUV can be availed in a single variant namely Z-Prestige which will be available for the customers in 4 colours: Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Pearl White and Cosmic Black.
Powering the Isuzu V-Cross AT is a 1.9 litre, BS4 diesel engine that is capable of offering a maximum power of 150HP and a peak torque of 350Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The brand has not yet updated the SUV with a BS6 engine though one can expect Isuzu to roll it out before the new emission norms come into effect from April 1, 2020.
Coming to the interiors, the SUV has been equipped with live-surround speakers that have been mounted on the roof. In addition to this, the brand offers the D-Max V-Cross with an all-leather upholstery. The elegant profile of the SUV is enhanced by the use of dual-tone brown-black interiors. The 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system mounted at the centre is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in addition to have Bluetooth, AUX and USB connectivity features. The 18-inch alloy wheels add to the sturdy profile of the off-road SUV.
In addition to these cosmetic and mechanical changes, the SUV has been equipped with a more standard safety kit that features 6 airbags as standard as well as a brake override system. The new Z-Prestige variant of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been positioned at the top while the standard and Z trims are positioned after that. The brand also offered a mid-cycle update to the SUV recently that further gets Bi-LED headlamps at the front, diamond-cut alloy wheels and more.
