Yamaha XSR155 Top Speed Video by Motobigbike Thailand: Yamaha just recently launched the exclusive XSR155 in the Thai market and now a video has been spotted touring the internet in which an individual rides the retro motorcycle and take it straight up to its maximum possible top speed. As per the speculations, the XSR155 was expected to achieve a top speed of 135 km/hr, but in the video, the biker is able to achieve a top speed of only 125km/hr. The XSR155 is a retro-modern motorcycle and it is a new addition to the already existing XSR line-up with models like XSR700 and XSR900.

Yamaha XSR155 Top Speed Video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzynz1zIn8Y It is worth noting that the XSR155 shares a lot of specifications with the Yamaha R15 V3 and is equally capable. The motorcycle is equipped with a 155cc liquid-cooled engine and the triple-digit top speed figure in the video gives a clear view of how capable the motorcycle is in comparison to its rivals. The biker in the video rides the Yamaha XSR155 and is able to take the bike up to 125km/hr only, which is an unusual thing, considering the fact that it is powered by the R15 V3's engine, which can easily achieve 135+ kmph of top speed. Article image On digging deep into the scenario to find the reason, we found out that although the bike has the same powertrain as that of the R15 V3, the XSR155 lacks a fairing. The role of fairing in the R15 V3 is to help it cut through the air in an efficient manner, which further reduces the drag and allows the bike to ride faster with minimum air resistance. With a naked design, the Yamaha XSR155 is unable to provide an aerodynamic efficiency, which as a result affects the top speed of the bike. Article image The Yamaha XSR155 is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which has been teamed with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). The motorcycle generates a maximum power of 19 HP and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. You can easily differentiate the XSR155 from the R15 V3 and MT-15 due to its retro styling. The product has been launched in Thailand at a price tag of 91,500 Baht (INR 2,13,900 approx), while the XSR155 is expected to launch in India by the end of this year or at the Auto Expo in February 2020 with an ex-showroom price tag of around INT 1.50 lakh.
