Mechanically, new Yamaha FZ25 is powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air+oil cooled engine that is now BS6-compliant and capable of generating maximum power of 20.8 HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 20.1 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In comparison to the BS4 model, the updated version generates 0.1 HP less power and 0.1 Nm more torque.
