The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V has been recently spotted testing on the Indian roads. The motorcycle has been subjected to a few cosmetic changes while the brand will be introducing the production variant of the motorcycle with a BS6-compliant engine since the new emission norms will be effective in India from April 1, 2020. The images surfaced online indicates that the brand has kept the initial body design of the motorcycle intact for the upcoming model. Article image The motorcycle spotted testing is seen with a halogen headlight while the upcoming BS6 model of the Apache RTR 200 was recently spotted with an LED headlight. Since the motorcycle is not yet in its production state, one can expect the brand to roll out the production model of the 2020 RTR 160 4V with an LED headlight. There aren’t many changes made to the motorcycle except making it compliant with the BS6 norms. One can expect some minor tweaks in the production variant itself though, the chassis and suspension are likely to remain the same. Article image Powering the current-gen TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 16.5 HP and an utmost torque of 14.8 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The BS6-compliant 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is likely to get the same power and torque figures though the brand might discontinue the carburetted version of the motorcycle for its 2020 update. Article image To give a fresh look to the motorcycle, TVS is likely to launch it with new body graphics and colour schemes. The bike is expected to hit the Indian market in early 2020. Once launched in India, the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will compete in the market with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZS V3, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and the Suzuki Gixxer 155.
