Triumph has been constantly working towards introducing new motorcycles in their portfolio. The brand plans on launching various new additions to their recent lineup in the year 2020. One can expect the new Daytona 765 to make an appearance in 2020 while the launch of Tiger 900 is also in the pipeline. In addition to this, the motorcycle manufacturer will be launching a new litre class motorcycle that will be christened as Triumph Speed Triple 1160. According to the reports, the testing of the upcoming 1160 motorcycle has been started by the brand though, the official images are yet to arrive. The sources suggest that the displacement of the motorcycle will be tuned from 1050cc to 1160cc as the bore size has been increased from 79mm to 83mm. This mechanical update will allow the motorcycle to offer high power figures as compared to the other motorcycles in its segment in addition to making it compatible with the Euro 5 emission norms. The brand is expected to launch the Speed Triple 1160 at EICMA in November 2019 though the chances of its Indian launch seems highly unlikely. The brand is likely to equip the upcoming motorcycle with a new frame, subframe as well as a swingarm. The updated motorcycle might not feature the same headlamp design like the current-gen model while the brand will be offering the Speed Triple 1160 a new overall design language. In addition to this, one can expect Triumph to equip the motorcycle with a premium electronic package that is seen on the recent motorcycles by the brand. The new Triumph Street Triple is expected to be launched in two variants namely standard and RS. According to the reports, the RS variant of the motorcycle will be equipped with premium suspension and braking components in addition to having additional premium features.
