2020 Suzuki V-Strom 250 Adventure Motorcycle Revealed

2020 Suzuki V-Strom 250 has been launched in Japan at a starting price tag of JPY 5,70,240 (INR 3.85 lakh, approximate) for the non-ABS variant while the customers can avail the ABS-equipped variant of the motorcycle at JPY 6,02,640 (INR 4.06 lakh, approximate). The brand has subjected the motorcycle with minor graphic changes in addition to rolling out new colours. The ABS variant of the motorcycle will be available for sale in Japan from August 26, 2019, while the non-ABS trim can be availed from August 23, 2019. The brand has launched the motorcycle in a new dual-tone colour scheme namely: Pearl Nebula Black/High Tech Silver Metallic. The colour option is only available for the ABS-equipped variant. The motorcycle features a red coloured V-Strom sticker on the beak in addition to red graphics. The fuel tank of the motorcycle also features distinguished red graphic detailing while the rims of the V-Strom features the same red pinstripe. The brand has equipped the headlamp housing of the motorcycle with chrome inserts. The Triton Blue Metallic No.2 colour variant is also available for sale in the Japanese markets. In addition to these, the brand has retained the ‘Pearl Nebula Black’ and ‘Pearl Nebular Black/Solid Dazzling Cool Yellow’ colour variant of the motorcycle though, the Diamond Red Metallic shade has been discontinued from the portfolio. The heat shield on the ABS-equipped version has been given a shorter profile when compared to the standard variant. Powering the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 250 is the same 248cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, SOHC engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 24 HP and a peak torque of 22 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear gets a monoshock absorber. The motorcycle gets disc brakes at either end while the ground clearance stands at 160mm. The Suzuki V-Strom 250 claims a fuel efficiency of 31.6 kmpl. Suzuki is also planning to launch a new 250cc adventure motorcycle in the Indian market and it will be based on the 2020 model of the V-Strom 250.
