Oberdan Bezzi, an Italian automotive designing specialist has once again mesmerised the audience with an all-new rendering of the Royal Enfield Himalayan imagined as a Scrambler. Christening the motorcycle as Royal Enfield Gurkha 400, the rendering has been offered a host of premium features setting it apart from the stock variant.

Coming to the design, the scrambler version of the RE Himalayan features knobby off-road tyres which replace the Ceat tyres seen on the stock variant. In addition to this, the designing specialist has equipped the scrambler with USD forks at the front which in turn replaces the conventional telescopic forks used in the stock motorcycle.

In addition to offering steel spoke wheels, the illustrator has equipped the Royal Enfield Gurkha 400 with a new instrument panel as well as a small circular headlamp setup.

The stock model of the RE Himalayan is powered by a 411cc air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected SOHC engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 24.3HP and 32Nm of peak torque.

As per the rendered image of the Royal Enfield Gurkha 400, the exhaust system has also been redesigned and the motorcycle features an upswept canister unit flowing towards the rear.

Keeping the stock frame intact, the illustrator has equipped the motorcycle with a die-cast swingarm that replaces the box type unit on the stock motorcycle. The Gurkha 400 has been further equipped with petal disc brakes at either end while getting a dual-channel ABS as standard.
