RE Classic 500 Rear Disc Variants Launched @ INR 1.86 Lakh: Royal Enfield Classic 500 now comes with rear disc brake as standard. This disc brake was previously available on just Stealth Black shade.
Royal Enfield Classic 500 Chrome (Rear Disc) is priced at INR 1.96 lakh, 3 special editions are available for INR 1.89 lakh while the standard model with rear disc brake is now available for INR 1.86 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Classic 500 is presently the best selling 500cc bike with almost 1500 units in sale reports every month.

When seen in terms of performance, Classic 500 carries a 499cc fuel injected engine producing 27.2 BHP and 41.4 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. No other motorcycle in India offer such high performance numbers at this price tag.
Royal Enfield bikes have no direct competition and thus, they have shown considerable growth in last few months. They have clearly dethroned Yamaha from fifth ranking in terms of sales but Bajaj Auto, the fourth rank contender, seems much ahead due to a long list of commuters.
Royal Enfield will bring ABS into all its bike by April 1, 2019. Till then, they will try their best to introduce dual disc brakes into all models and at least one in Royal Enfield Bullet 350. Even after no electric start and disc brake, Bullet 350 beats many commuters in terms of monthly sales.
