Royal Enfield to Set up CKD Assembly Plant in Thailand

Royal Enfield has just announced an all-new assembly plant in Thailand, that will be catering to the stronger demand for the motorcycles abroad. This is the brand’s first CKD assembly plant outside the country and will be their fully owned subsidiary. The new assembly unit is expected to commence the operations in June 2019. Royal Enfield is also expected to expand its presence in the Indonesian markets. Royal Enfield entered the Thai market three years ago and the most famous twins, the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 were recently introduced in the country. The bikes have managed to get more than 700 bookings till date while 100 motorcycles have already been delivered.
