The French creative workshop of parts and vehicles, BAAK has recently customized a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and by the looks of it, the motorcycle resembles an actual retro motorcycle that was famous in the 50s. The customizers have christened the motorcycle as Gallinella while showcasing it back at the Wheels & Waves Festival in Biarritz in 2019. BAAK officially teamed up with Royal Enfield for this custom Interceptor 650 project. The Gallinella has been specifically designed with handbuilt body panels that require utmost hard work to get this kind of perfection. Article image The designers at BAAK have equipped the motorcycle with an aluminium bathtub rear fairing for offering an out-of-the-box outlook to the Interceptor model. The 50s outlook of the motorcycle is further enhanced by the round headlight while the overall red and white paint scheme add to its retro charm. The motorcycle has been equipped with a single-pod analogue-digital instrument console integrated at the top of the headlight which replaces the dual-pod instrument cluster of the stock motorcycle. The front fender offered to the customized motorcycle is made up of stainless steel while the customizers have further used leather fork gaiters to add to the retro appeal. The exhaust system equipped in the stock machine has also been replaced with a smaller and lightweight aluminium unit. Article image The designers have equipped the Gallinella with a single-piece tubular type handlebar unit which imparts it with a relaxed riding position. The old school charm of the motorcycle is accentuated with a single-pod tail light positioned at the rear of the leather-cladded single-piece saddle. Apart from the cosmetic changes, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been kept mechanically unaltered. Powering the Gallinella is the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine that is good for 47HP of maximum power and 52Nm of peak torque. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
