A recent report from AutoCar Pro has confirmed that the teased Royal Enfield Bobber is carrying a powerful 834cc, V-Twin engine under the fuel tank. The engine is an updated version for traditional twin-cylinder units as liquid cooling further improves the efficiency of the motorcycle. The first glimpse of the motorcycle is planned for November 2018, most probably on the first media day (6th November) of EICMA 2018 in Milan, Italy. Earlier, the motorcycle was expected to get the 650cc motor. The 834cc engine is BS6 compliant and the upcoming motorcycle carries longer than usual wheelbase for the perfect feel. Royal Enfield will finally enter the Triumph’s territory this year. However, Royal Enfield will utilize this platform to bring more genres like a tourer, cruiser and more. The second teaser has already confirmed that the profile will be totally unique for the Royal Enfield Bobber. The extended fuel tank length and low seating will definitely attract eyeballs at the show. This special arrangement between the two companies was tightly guarded and was not made public. The power-train engineers at Polaris and at Royal Enfield had together developed this liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, engine platform for Royal Enfield during the time their alliance was alive. This project was carried out in the UK between the technical centers of Polaris and Royal Enfield. The 834cc power-train has spawned out of that arrangement,” revealed another source, aware of the matter.
