The launch of the cheapest KTM bike, the 125 Duke in India did came as a shock originally considering all the rumours were shut down by the brand due to their inability to price the motorcycle in India amidst a host of other competitors and with such splendid body parts. Recently, after confirming the bike’s launch, it has been spied testing at the Talegaon area which lies at the outskirts of Pune, the area within a closed range to the Bajaj manufacturing plant.
The video that has been posted by 'The Dukeist' on his YouTube channel eradicates all the doubts and actually confirms the bike being tested is the all-new KTM Duke 125. The Duke 125 rider though, by mistake gave an affirmation for the same to the 'The Dukeist'. Once launched in India, the KTM Duke 125 is expected to be priced around INR 1.25 Lakh (ex-showroom).
The bike will be powered by 125 cc single cylinder engine capable of churning out maximum power of 15 hp and 12 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Considering the fact that it is an entry level Duke model, the bike is not expected to get the Metzeler tyres, LED headlights, and the all-digital instrument console as seen in the International variant.

KTM 125 Duke Spotted (Video)
The video suggests the design of the bike being almost similar to the KTM Duke 200 with same side panels, headlight, digital console, alloy wheels and the tyres. To keep the prices in check, the motorcycle brand might introduce the KTM Duke 125 with a Combi Braking System(CBS) instead of dual channel ABS. Once launched in India, it will be competing in the market with the likes of Yamaha YZF-R15 V3, Yamaha FZ25 and the Suzuki Gixxer Fi ABS.
