Kawasaki Motorcycles Sales Report: Kawasaki is India’s second largest premium performance brand by volume. November 2018 had a very conservative number for the brand as only five motorcycles were able to post a number on the chart. The most selling motorcycle is Ninja 300, scoring just 118 units, even after getting a price reduction of INR 72,000. The number for Yamaha R3 was just 25 in comparison. The series got 50 more units in sales from Ninja 650 (30) and Ninja 1000 (20).
The ZX and H2 series of motorcycles were not so lucky this month. However, the pre-bookings for ZX-6R are open. Coming to the Versys series, 1000 is available for pre-bookings while other two scored zero units in November 2018. Kawasaki Vulcan S also scored zero during the same period. Apart from these, the popular Z-series got 17 buyers each for the Z650 and Z900. The trends show that more buyers are interested in the bigger Z motorcycle than Z650 throughout the year.
Kawasaki counts the Z900RS under the Z900 numbers while H2 contains the number for all five available models. The same is applicable for the RR model of ZX-10R and R version of Z1000. After the launch of Versys 1000, Kawasaki is expected to bring the Z1000 through local assembly route for more numbers. The sales number can double itself in 2019 if they launch Z300, Z400 and local assembly versions of the popular high displacement bikes.
