An avid biker named Sunil Singh recently completed the Delhi-to-Leh road trip on a Kawasaki Z900. The journey started from Delhi on June 4 before coming to an end at the same point on June 16. The other three riders from the group were using Royal Enfield Classic and Himalayan for the journey. The first day of riding was summed up in Patnitop, leaving them with Patnitop to Sonmarg for the next day. The fifth and sixth day were spent in Leh, exploring the city and taking some break before reaching Nubra and Pangong. Article image The journey earlier had a full day of rain while reaching Nyoma took things to the next level with snowfall near Changla Pass. The return was planned from Manali side. Before coming back, the night stay in Sarchu was the coldest part with Minus 5-degree temperature freezing open drinking water. The Sarchu to Keylong stretch took them through 20 feet ice walls and not just that, almost 5 km of distance was covered entirely on the snow. The next challenge came in the form of muddy roads and water crossings between Keylong and Mandi. Article image The last day of riding started from Mandi and concluded in Delhi. The journey may sound familiar to many but when imagined from the seat of a Kawasaki Z900, things become interesting with the 125 HP of power from the inline-4, 948cc engine. The remaining three bikes are known to take on these road conditions in the most comfortable manner. The rider got himself an insurance policy to save from rock and snow damage from Zana International while Aurum Kawasaki was responsible for the servicing of the motorcycle before the ride started from Delhi. The total distance covered is said to be more than 3000km and doing the same on a Z900 was a really bold act. Article image
