The motorcycle has been imparted with an overall scrambler design language with the use of custom body parts. Coming to the front fascia, the modified bike now features a conventional round headlight unit which is further mated to a lens grille. The turn indicators of the bike have been neatly integrated on top of the front forks while the mudguard has been revised and is now a rally-inspired unit.

The riding position of the modified motorcycle has been revised with a redesigned handlebar unit while the addition of rubber bar ends adds to its overall rugged appeal. The engine start-stop switch on the motorcycle has been mounted on the side while the single pod instrument cluster accentuates the unique design of this modified Hero Karizma R.

The fuel tank of the motorcycle has been replaced with a bulkier unit and now features an overall glossy green paint with silver accents on the tank pads. The modifier has further imparted the fuel tank with a compass on the left-hand side while the right side features the fuel filler.

The swingarm on the modified motorcycle features the battery system just adjacent to it while the overall wiring has been neatly tucked under the fuel tank. The modifier has replaced the standard forks on the Hero Karizma R with that of Hero Impulse to offer better handling to the scrambler on every terrain.

In addition to this, the gear lever, as well as the rider footpegs, have also been revised to accentuate the rugged profile of the motorcycle. The exhaust system on the stock motorcycle has also been redesigned and is now a two-in-one unit with the rear end being offered a chrome finish while the blackened muffler has been tucked inside the body cladding with “82” written on top.

The Hero Karizma R Katalan has been equipped with muscular tyres at the front as well as back while there have been no alterations made to the stock engine mechanically. Powering the Katalan is the same 223cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder petrol engine that is good for 19.2HP of maximum power and 19.35Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
