In addition to this, Hero has equipped the motorcycle with LED headlight and taillight setup adding to the premium bits while the fuel tank extensions further impart the bike a muscular outlook. The turn indicators equipped on the Xtreme 160R have also been offered LED lighting while the fully-digital instrument console offers apt riding data. As we reported earlier, powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant 160cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 15HP @ 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The motorcycle has been equipped with a single-channel ABS as standard while the customers can avail it with a rear disc or drum brake setup. The suspension duties on the Hero Xtreme 160R are handled by Showa-sourced telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear.
