According to the recent rumours circulating online, Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch a new commuter motorcycle which will be christened as Hero Hunter. Considering the poor sales performance of the brand in the past few months, Hero is now focusing on increasing its sales figure by introducing another commuter in its 110-125cc portfolio. Till date, the Hero Splendor is one of the best selling commuters from the brand. Certain leaked patent images of the upcoming motorcycle from the Hero MotoCorp gives us a separate view of a sweeping fuel tank in addition to a Pulsar inspired round headlamp design along with a windscreen as well as a tail lamp. The fuel tank in the leaked patents features “Hunter” written over it. If the brand decides to launch Hunter in its commuter segment in India, the motorcycle will be lined up next to the Hero Splendor and Hero Passion. Since the mandatory introduction of ABS in the bigger displacement bikes above 125cc, the brand will be launching the Hunter with a lower displacement engine and Combined Braking System (CBS) to keep the cost under check. If and once launched in India, the Hero Hunter will compete in the market with the likes of much appreciated Honda CB Shine as well as Bajaj Platina and CT 100. We can expect the brand to launch their new commuter sometime in the next year after the implementation of the BSVI emission norms on April 1, 2020.
