The two new Hero scooters that were much-awaited by the gearless riding fans are now officially available in India. Hero Pleasure Plus has been launched at INR 47,300 for the steel wheel variant and INR 49,300 for the alloy wheel variant. On the other hand, the powerful Maestro Edge 125 is available in three different variants, starting from INR 58,500 and going all the way up to INR 62,700. Not just that, the fuel injected variant of the scooter is a first-of-its-kind option for the country as not even the premium Vespa scooters are available with fuel injection in India. [caption id="attachment_504105" align="aligncenter" width="966"]Hero Pleasure+ Hero Pleasure Plus[/caption] Hero Pleasure Plus comes without the option of a disc brake while the top two variants of the Maestro Edge 125 are available with a front disc brake. The 110.9cc, single cylinder engine on the new Pleasure Plus is good for 8.1 HP and 8.7 Nm. The values are impressive for a scooter that weighs just 101kg and comparatively, the last-gen Pleasure feels out of power for sure. The new model is just INR 2200 expensive than the old Pleasure and getting the better 110cc engine definitely brings an advantage. The design lines also have a different story to narrate for the new scooters. Maestro Edge 125 comes with 9.2 HP and 10.2 Nm of output, making it the most happening product for this price point with alloy wheels as standard. The Pleasure Plus rivals Honda Activa 5G and TVS Jupiter in the country while the 125cc Maestro Edge will take on the new Suzuki Access 125 and the Honda Grazia 125. TVS Ntorq 125 is also one rival but, the preference is always given to commuter-friendly design by the Indian buyers.
