2019 Harley-Davidson 48 Special has been launched in the country for INR 10.98 lakh. The price tag is applicable to the vivid black shade as the most expensive custom shade variant costs INR 11.52 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom and remains the same all over India. The first difference that die-hard Harley fans will notice is the use of ape-hanger handlebar on the model while after that, the exhaust cover finish claims the second point. The iconic fuel tank stays alive, offering just 7.9-litres of fuel carrying capacity on both the regular as well as Special variant. The price difference between both the models is INR 40,000 and thus, seems justified for these small yet highly visible changes. The beefy tires and single seat attitude of the motorcycle remain intact here. The 1202cc, V-twin engine on the motorcycle is good for 97 Nm at 4250 rpm, clearing the fact that cruising effortlessly over the streets is done in the most stylish possible manner. The motorcycle weighs 252 kg and comes with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear tire. The alloy wheel design also remains similar between both the variants. Harley Davidson offers four variants with the same 1202cc engine in the Sportster range while Iron 883 is the only one to bring the 883cc engine to the lineup. The launch frame for the same has not yet been disclosed. Along with the New Forty-Eight Special, Harley-Davidson also launched the updated 2019 model of Street Glide Special with a starting price tag of INR 30.53 lakh (ex-showroom).
