The introduction of Benelli Imperiale 400 has been postponed to Early 2020 by the Italian brand. This makes the fact clear that Royal Enfield and Jawa will stay the only competitors in retro design, single cylinder engine segment in 2019. The reason behind the delay is that at present the Imperiale 400 has a BS4 engine, and Benelli wants to launch BS6-ready model of Imperiale in India as BS6 emission norms will come into effect from April 1, 2020.

 - portrait Imperiale 400 looks uber cool with almost nothing to complain in terms of exterior feel. Every part stays true to the other one, combining together to form an elegant piece of everyday use. The fuel tank lacks any significant curve and flows perfectly into its two-piece seat. Both the seats look decently padded while the design of the front and rear fenders further improve its classic machine looks. - snap A retro round headlight, orange cup indicators and standard telescopic forks with limited travel make the fact sure that you ride something that looks unique and commanding on the road. Benelli Imperiale 400 is expected to get a much higher price when compared to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Jawa Classic 300. It is expected to get a price tag of around INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom). - back When compared in terms of power, Benelli’s 373.5cc, single cylinder, fuel injected and the air-cooled engine is good for 20 HP at 5500 rpm and 28 Nm at 3500 rpm. The high torque at even lower rpm than Royal Enfield makes Imperiale 400 a real cruiser by all means. Benelli will target buyers who are into regular riding and hence, a large number of accessories will be on offer. Benelli offers spoke wheels, a rear disc brake, ABS as standard, and an analogue-digital instrument console on the Imperiale 400.
