Benelli unveiled the much-anticipated new model of the 302R twin-cylinder sports bike back in April last year and it is already on sale in China. As per the latest details available, Benelli would be launching the new 302R in the Indian markets in the coming weeks. In terms of pricing, the 2022 Benelli 302R is expected to be priced around INR 3 lakhs and it would be competing with the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 300, which is available in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 3.24 lakhs. Here is the quick walkaround video of the upcoming sportbike:

Talking about the looks, the motorcycle now features an entirely different front-end design with an all-new headlight, front visor, headlight panels, and rearview mirrors. In addition to these changes, the 2022 Benelli 302R features slightly different side fairing panels and rear underseat panels. One of the other major changes is that the new model is also equipped with a digital full-colour TFT instrument console.

The sportbike looks less bulky now and it is a whopping 22kgs lighter than the last-generation model. Coming to the technical specifications, as expected, Benelli has updated the 300cc parallel-twin engine to meet the stricter Euro5 emission norms, which are equivalent to the BS6 emission norms. The new model is good for 34.5HP of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.

In comparison, the BS4-compliant model was capable of churning out a maximum power of 38.2HP and a peak torque of 26.5Nm. So the new model generates 3.7HP less power and 0.5Nm more torque. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2022 Benelli 302R is equipped with 41mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The disc brake setup at either side continues to be mated to a dual-channel ABS unit as standard.
