Benelli has officially unveiled the 2020 model of the 302R fully-faired sports bike in China with a price tag of CNY 32,800 (INR 3.52 lakh, approximate, direct conversion). The updated version is expected to launch in the Indian markets by the end of this year. As expected, the MY2020 Benelli 302R has not been imparted with any major changes when compared to its last-gen version.
Apart from the new shades, the 2020 model features almost identical design language in comparison to the 2019 model. The sports bike is now available in four new colours: White with Green frame, Sports Red with Red frame, Space Blue with Neon Green frame, and Crystal Green with Silver frame.

The 2020 model is powered by the same 300cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which is now good for a maximum power of 35.3 HP at 12,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 27 Nm at 9,000 rpm. In comparison, the India-spec BS4 model was capable of churning out a maximum power of 38.2 HP and a peak torque of 26.5 Nm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of performance, the 2020 Benelli 302R can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.8 seconds while the company-claimed top speed of the sports bike stands at 170 kmph. Apart from this, the mechanical bits remain the same. The sportbike is equipped with the same USD forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The disc brake setup at either side is mated to dual-channel ABS as standard.
