Bajaj Pulsar NS125 Launched in India: Bajaj Auto has launched the much-awaited Pulsar NS125 in the Indian markets with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 93,690. At this price point, it is the most affordable bike under the brand's Pulsar NS series of naked motorcycles. The new Pulsar NS125 is priced INR 16,000 less than the NS160 and around INR 20,000 more than the standard Pulsar 125.
If we talk about the design, the NS125 is based on the Pulsar NS160 and NS200 while the motorcycle has been introduced in four colour options: Pewter Grey, Beach Blue, Fiery Orange, and Burnt Red.
Talking about the technical specifications, the Pulsar NS125 is powered by a 124.45cc, BS6-compliant, air-cooled, single-cylinder DTS-i engine that is good for 12HP of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 11Nm at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
The NS125 features a perimeter frame while the motorcycle rides on an 80/100-17 tyre at the front and a 100/90-17 tyre at the rear. Coming to the dimensions, the ground clearance is 179mm, the seat height is 805mm and the wheelbase stands at 1353mm.
Coming to the hardware components, the braking power of the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is handled by a 240mm disc brake at the front end along with a 130mm drum brake at the rear end. In terms of suspension, the bike features conventional front telescopic forks and a rear nitrox monoshock absorber. The motorcycle weighs 144 kg, which makes it 7kgs lighter than the Pulsar NS160.
Commenting on the launch Mr Sarang Kanade, President - Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto said - "We are excited to bring the pedigree of the higher cc Pulsar NS series bikes, for first-time performance riding enthusiasts. The thrill that the new Pulsar NS 125 is built to offer, will appeal to a large segment of customers with its multiple class-leading features. The Pulsar 125 has been very well received by consumers and we are confident that the new NS 125 will further strengthen the brand's position in the Entry Sport Bike segment".
